The
6th Annual Tribute To The Troops Ride & Benefit Concert will be held on September 11-13, 2009
Memorial Ride, Sunday, September 13th! The Schedule for the Rides and the Concert
is as follows:
Family Visit Rides
This year, we will have two rides (Ride A- Randy Vaughn, Ride Captain and Ride
B - Tim Brastaad, Ride Captain) covering our family
visits on Friday and Saturday, September 11-12.
Friday,

Both
rides will stage as follows: |

on Aurora Avenue, on the the south steps of the

Ride
A - Ride A - From Mendakota Country Club, Ride A will proceed to visit one family
Friday afternoon in the Twin Cities area. Following
the family visit, the ride will end in Forest Lake,
MN. Riders wishing to stay at a hotel this evening
(optional) may continue on to the Hyatt Place Minneapolis/Eden
Prairie, 11369 Viking Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344,
Phone: (952) 944-9700). Ask for the Tribute to the
Troops rate of $73.49 (including all taxes and fees).
Reservations must be made by September 8th..
Ride B -From Mendakota Country Club, Ride B will proceed to visit one family
Friday afternoon in the Duluth area. Following the
family visit, the ride will travel to Hinkley, MN and
end and stay at the Day's Inn in Hinkley. To make reservations,
call the Days Inn at (320) 384-7751. A block of rooms
has been reserved under the name of Pam Braastad at
a rate of $93.90.
Saturday,
September 12
Both
rides will stage as follows: Ride A - The ride will stage at the Hyatt Place Minneapolis/Eden Prairie (11369 Viking
Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344) beginning at
7:00am, departing at approximately 8:30am to
a destination just outside the twin cities
area for the first family visit, then returning
to the twin cities area for two additional
family visits. The ride will end early Saturday
evening in Woodbury, MN. Riders wishing to
stay at a hotel this evening (optional) may
continue on to the Hyatt Place Minneapolis/Eden
Prairie, 11369 Viking Drive, Eden Prairie,
MN 55344, Phone: (952) 944-9700). Ask for the
Tribute to the Troops rate of $73.49 (including
all taxes and fees). Reservations must be made
by September 8th.
Ride
B - The ride will stage at the Days Inn in Hinkley, MN and will depart from the
hotel (time TBD) for the northern part of the twin
cities for a family visit. Following the visit, the
Ride will meet up and merge with Ride A to complete
the family visits scheduled for the day. The ride will
end early Saturday evening in Woodbury, MN. Riders
wishing to stay at a hotel this evening (optional)
may continue on to the Hyatt Place Minneapolis/Eden
Prairie, 11369 Viking Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344,
Phone: (952) 944-9700). Ask for the Tribute to the
Troops rate of $73.49 (including all taxes and fees).

Note: There will not be a formal ride planned from the Hyatt Eden Prairie
to Ft. Snelling on Sunday morning. Riders participating
in the Memorial Ride may choose to form their own "ride" Sunday morning from the Hyatt to Ft. Snelling. Please ride safely!

The Memorial Ride will
gather at Fort Snelling National Cemetery (enter main
gate at 7601 34th Ave South). Rider check-in/registration
is from 6:45-7:45am. At 8:00am, there will be a short
ceremony followed by a moment of silence in remembrance
for all those who gave their lives for our country.
The Ride departs promptly at 8:30am for a scenic ride
to the Camp Ripley National Guard Base where we will
enjoy lunch with military personnel and a short concert
by Rockie Lynne. The Ride will depart Camp Ripley at
1:45pm for a scenic ride to the Medina Entertainment
Center, arriving at approx. 4:45pm. The Concert will
begin at 5:00pm (see below).
Benefit Concert & Program,
Sunday, September 13th, 5:00pm – 9:00pm
A benefit concert and program will be held on Sunday
evening beginning at 5:00pm at the Medina Entertainment
Center (500 Highway 55 Hamel, MN 55340).
The evening will be a
respectful remembrance to Minnesota’s fallen heroes
and their families. Evening entertainment will be provided
by national recording artist Rockie Lynne, The Killer
Hayseeds, and Redpath. Guest speaker will be Pastor
Mike Haseltine from Maranatha Assembly of God Church
Forest
Lake (Pastor
Mike is no stranger to motorcycles!).
Tickets to win the Tribute
to the Troops Chopper will be available and the winning
ticket will be drawn during the program! There will
be a silent auction and raffle for an acoustic and
an electric Gibson Guitar signed by Rockie Lynne! Tribute
to the Troops merchandise will also be available for
sale.

for this tribute to our fallen heroes and their families.
Tickets are $20.00 in
advance or at the door. Families of our fallen heroes
and all military personnel with valid ID are our honored
guests and may attend the concert at no charge.
